Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Objective:

As a member of the Resource Development Team, the Loaned Executive will plan and execute strategies with local companies, organizations, and individuals to secure resources in the Annual Campaign by promoting the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County.

Time frame: August through November 2009. We request a commitment of 10 - 20 hours per week. Short term assignments are available year round.

Participate in orientation and training programs of the United Way to acquire the knowledge, background, and expertise needed to fulfill Loaned Executive responsibilities. Works with assigned companies, organizations, and volunteers within Erie County to plan and implement an effective Annual Campaign. Supports other LE's and staff in covering group presentations, informational events, and supply deliveries to ensure all accounts receive exceptional customer service.
Evaluates data related to past performance, establishes contacts with key individuals with assigned companies and groups to plan effective campaign strategies. A resource to company campaign coordinators, monitors assigned accounts, makes phone calls and written evaluations to maintain United Way records. Travel to meetings and events throughout the community required.
Valid driver's license required. Will reimburse for mileage, parking and other related expenditures.
