Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Every year Compeer hosts 2 holiday parties. One for the children and one for the adults and seniors. For many in our program (we currently serve 350 people) this is the ONLY holiday celebration they have. Our goal is to give everyone a gift.
We are looking for companies who would like to host an "Angel Tree". An Angel Tree is holiday tree that holds little cards that represent a person we serve. We tell you a little bit about them and a gift that they have requested or that we think would be wanted. Companies usually ask for 10 - 100 cards. (Note: Cards can be displayed in many different ways - not just on a tree).
The gifts usually are in the price range of $10. - $20. per gift.
I would be happy to come to your company and make a presentation about this project and what Compeer is all about.

Directions:

Compeer of Greater Buffalo serves all of Erie County. You will only need to come to the Delaware Avenue address for your initial interview, a 3 hour training, and a match appointment. We will match you up with a person in an area that is convenient to you. For Angel Cards, we will bring them to you.

I am making friends and changing lives.

I have been a mentor with Compeer since 2007. My friend Kyle and I get together weekly. We go to the zoo, science museum, out for ice cream, or even go to the park and hang out on the swings. This summer we signed up for the Reading Rules summer reading challenge. We already read one book, and wrote a 10-sentence summary this summer.
