The 24-building complex of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center is a busy microcosm of healthcare . From the full complement of family-centered maternity services to our regional cancer and heart care centers, the emphasis is on providing quality acute and rehabilitation care to the people of Berks and neighboring counties.

History:
This proud tradition of service began in 1867 when a modest three-story dispensary was established in downtown Reading. Today, located on 36 acres in suburban West Reading, the Hospital is committed to excellence in patient care. It's medical staff of more than 600 physicians, supported by 4,100 clinical and ancillary employees, provides a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation services.
