Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 18, 2009 |
Each year hundreds of Berks County children are placed in foster care due to abuse and/or neglect. YOU can make a difference in a child's life. Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for short. You will work directly with families and professionals to determine the best interest of the child. With the help of CASA volunteers, children's time in the foster care system can be reduced. Our volunteers speak up for the "best interest" of that child. If you would like to make a difference in the life of a child, please contact Nicole Morris at (610) 685-4566. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, pass criminal background and ChildLine history clearances, and willing to stay involved for a minimum of one year. Thirty-five (35) hours of training is provided. This opportunity is sponsored by: Court Appointed Special Advocate Program
