Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 30, 2009

Are there seniors in your community who might be in need of a little extra help? Would you consider giving one hour per month to give them a helping hand? The Meals On Wheels program in Berks County is in need of volunteers in your area. Meals are picked up at 8 different sites throughout Berks County and distributed by volunteers who deliver meals to approximately 10-15 seniors in the area.
Volunteers deliver the meals weekdays between 10:30 and 12 noon. It takes only 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to deliver ... and you can pick one, two or four days per month. Routes can be done alone or with a partner.
Won't you consider donating one or two hours per month to help out with this worthy and rewarding cause? Please call for more details.

The driver must have a valid PA driver's license, and current auto insurance. A brief training session is provided.
