No One Dies Alone Program
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Sep 14, 2006 to Jan 14, 2007

No one should have to die alone. Thus the creation of The Reading Hospital and Medical Center No One Dies Alone Program.
Are you interested in making a difference?
When an individual is about to pass on, and does not have family members to be there, volunteers sit by their side to ensure they "don't die alone."
The Reading Hospital and Medical Center is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator for the No One Dies Alone Program.

The Volunteer Coordinator would coordinate the scheduling of volunteers for the No One Dies Alone Program and communicate the program information to Hospital staff and volunteers on a regular basis. The Volunteer Coordinator would act as the "point person" for Hospital staff and volunteers when an individual is about to pass on. He or she would carry a beeper and be on call for two weeks each month. (There are openings for two Volunteer Coordinators.)

The Volunteer Coordinator must have the ability to work independently and document information. He or she must be dependable, reliable, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Computer knowledge is a plus. The Director of Volunteer Services and the No One Dies Alone Committee will be responsible for training the two Volunteer Coordinators for this program.
