Patient Escort Volunteers work out of a dispatch room and respond to calls to push patients in wheelchairs or on stretchers to and from medical appointments within the medical center at our Cooper Drive Division. The assignment is a great way to interact with our veterans and to meet other patient escort volunteers. The Escort office is open from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. There is a particular need for volunteers to work the afternoon shift. All volunteers must attend a two hour orientation session. Orientations are held every other week.
