The idea is simple... Step 1. Register. Step 2. Volunteer a minimum of ten hours at the nonprofit agency of your choice between now and next April. Step 3. Log your hours. Step 4. Rock it out in April 2010 at a free concert. It really is that simple. The United Way of the Bluegrass 10,000 Hours Show presented by W. Rogers Company is a year-round effort to engage young adults in volunteer service that culminates in a free concert. The only way to gain admission is to volunteer with local nonprofits. The 10,000 Hours Show's concert is a unique celebration of service that takes the best parts of "normal" concerts- great bands, great atmosphere, great times- and makes them better- an all-volunteer audience, a community saying thanks and performers who care.
