     Classroom Volunteers Needed
RSS XML FeedBackground Active Sep 15, 2009 to Sep 21, 2009

Junior Achievement, the leader in K-12 economic education programs, is seeking volunteers for the 2009-10 school year for schools in Fayette and surrounding counties. Volunteers utilize JA's fun and hands-on materials to teach business and economic concepts to students. JA volunteers teach students basic economic concepts, emphasize the connections between education and success, and serve as role models. Elementary programs consist of five 30-45 minute classroom sessions, middle school programs require six 45 minute lessons and high school programs require a commitment of 7-12 one hour sessions depending on the program.

Teachers love JA and request our programs because they bring fresh faces into the classroom to teach students economic concepts and real world applications.

New Volunteers must complete a one hour training session and a background check.
