| Experience Kentucky's Bluegrass on a BICYCLE! The 28th running of the Horsey Hundred is taking place May 27-29, 2005, in Georgetown, Kentucky. We challenge you to volunteer at one of Kentucky's best bike rides - the century route on Saturday will take riders over a wide range of terrain typical of the Bluegrass. On Sunday, riders have the option of riding the streets of Paris... Kentucky! So saddle up bike riders and join us on the Horsey! Spring is a beautiful time to ride in the Bluegrass. There are several routes to choose from on both days. Saturday offers a 29 mile route, as well as a 50, the Keeneland (Horse) Race Course 53, a 75 and the Horsey Hundred. Sunday's routes will take you in a different direction for 37, 52 and through Paris on the 70-mile loop. All routes loop back to the start each day. Recommended stating times, between 8 and 10 a.m. are listed on the route maps. The Horsey Hundred is not a race. The Horsey is tandem friendly with its rolling hills and well-maintained roads. There are a variety of opportunities for volunteers to get involved with the Horsey Hundred. Please contact us for details. All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation at the end of May - prior to the event. The training will be a full description of the Bike ride and General Volunteer jobs. Training will also include assigned location and time of each volunteer's position and an explanation of the rest stops, lunch, and maps, Georgetown College and answering questions.
