Community Health Resources is a private non-profit community-based, comprehensive, behavioral health system in the state of Connecticut committed to the recovery, empowerment, community integration and enhancement of quality of life for the individuals and families we serve. We are a growth minded, innovative agency dedicated to the vision of emphasizing superior community service provision through an integrated system of comprehensive mental health and addiction services. Community Health Resources is a private, non-profit community based, comprehensive, behavioral health system of care conveniently located in the communities east and north of Hartford. Treatment, support, rehabilitation, prevention and education are provided by a well-trained dedicated staff of professionals committed to recovery. Public and private resources are utilized to ensure that care is delivered to those most in need, utilizing up-to-date service technologies with effective outcomes.

History:
Community Health Resources has been helping Connecticut people and communities achieve mental health for more than 40 years. From CHR's service division, North Central Counseling Services' early beginnings as The Enfield Mental Health Center, its merger with The Coalition for Children and its various name changes to depict the growth of the agency and CHR service division Genesis Center's roots in the early 1980's as a program of the Manchester Area Conference of Churches, our organization has grown into a leading community behavioral health provider in the state of Connecticut.
