Avon Senior Center

Working to enhance the quality of life for all Avon senior residents. Senior center personnel work to support the social, educational, physical and psychological needs of all senior residents through vital activity programming, events planning and by providing counseling services.

Description:
Avon Senior Center provides opportunities for the older adult population to be engaged and involved. The seniors are involved in exercise classes, educational classes, social/support groups, and arts/crafts. The Avon Senior Center offers a congregate senior meal program, card groups/games, presentations, movies, computer access/classes and provides information and referrals to seniors and their families.

History:
Avon Senior Center was built 20 years ago to meet the needs of the older adult population. The purpose of the senior center is to keep the older adult population involved and engaged and continuing to be a vital part of the community. The senior center continues to grow and be a hub of activity throughout the week for the older adult population.
