Description:
AIDS Project Hartford offers direct client services, such as case management and support workshops, performs outreach and education within the community, and provides prevention education to benefit people affected by HIV. APH also has an exciting Special Events Committee responsible for fundraisers, such as the Annual 5K AIDSWalk! Come and lend your energy, dedication and creative ideas to our agency, and have FUN, too!
History:
AIDS Project Hartford, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1985 by people affected by AIDS as a grassroots response to the medical and social problems posed by the AIDS epidemic. The agency has evolved into a multi-service agency serving the greater Hartford community and beyond. Employees, volunteers, clients, and friends of the agency have all played a role in the expansion of services and enhancement of quality of life for people affected by HIV.
