Volunteer food groups are desired. We have 40 men in our respite program during the off season (May-September). Each group is asked to cook and serve a complete dinner meal for the men of our shelter. Most groups prepare the meals off site and bring the food to serve on their scheduled date. However, we do have a kitchen here in the shelter if needed.

In the summer, the food groups may prepare food and simply drop it off at the shelter, or stay to serve the meal. Each group may cook anything they wish so long as they are prepared to serve 25 men during the summer. During the summer respite program, the shelter doors open at 6:00 p.m. and groups may serve anytime after that. We still have many available dates for food groups looking to come and serve with us this summer. Food group dates are scheduled ahead of time through our Food Group Coordinator(information listed below). If you or anyone you know is interested in forming a food group to serve at Immaculate Conception Shelter, or you would simply like to donate food, please contact us. Any help you can provide for us in this area is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and consideration!
