Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The pediatric staff of Hospital for Special Care is looking for adult volunteers to play with the children in the evening: read books, play dolls, listen to music, play make-believe, and more.

Opportunities are available Tuesday through Friday anytime within the window of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Therapeutic Recreation staff prefers individuals who will volunteer over the summer and beyond.

Volunteers must be mature and self directed after training (staff is always nearby).

Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus but not essential.
