Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 30, 2009 |
We know that children deserve as much attention as possible to facilitate their learning, to help them explore opportunities and, sometimes, just to listen and respond to their very exciting questions. We always appreciate having an extra adult available to interact with our children. Opportunities are also available to plan and implement projects or activities in areas of your special interest, i.e., cooking, arts and crafts, singing, dance, woodworking, that are developmentally appropriate.
All volunteers receive a comprehensive orientation on philosophy, policies and procedures. necessary to insure a satisfying and successful experience. A warm smile, energy and love of children are our basic requirements. This opportunity is sponsored by: Women's League Child Development Center

Overall Experience

I get so much more back from the children than I give.
 |
Women's League CDC is a not-for-profit early childhood agency. I have been involved with WL for approximately 10 years. During that time I have recruited volunteers and helped to build a lending library for the children and parents, and built a computer lab for the children. I have gone on field trips with the children and just generally supported Women's League in any capacity that they needed me.
The joy of interacting with the children is by far the most rewarding experience. posted by su on June 14, 2004 |
