PROGRAM: Community Relations Department LOCATION: 1680 Campus REPORTS TO: Patrice Warren LENGTH OF SERVICE: On-going DAYS/HOURS: Weekdays (hrs between 9-5) JOB SUMMARY: Volunteer would assist the Community Relations department with day today duties involved with volunteer management. Volunteer will work closely with the Community Ambassador. RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Calling cleared volunteers -Completing phone call reports -Scheduling interviews and campus tours -Filing volunteer applications -Filing volunteer timesheets -Updating volunteer database -Inputting volunteer hour data
QUALIFICATIONS: -College Interns strongly encouraged; mature high school students considered. -Excellent written and oral communications skills -Experience in public speaking -Strong planning, interpersonal and relationship-building skills -Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently. -Knowledge of the greater Hartford communities and the ability to interact with individuals from various cultural and socio-economic groups.
All volunteers must complete a volunteer application and complete State Police and CT careline checks prior to beginning any volunteer experience. It has been taking DCF 2 months to return these protective service checks. 6. Park in the first or second lot, never in front of any of the buildings or anywhere in the loop.
