I volunteer in the food pantry. Not only do I enjoy the staff and other volunteers, but I feel that I am making a difference for people who have to use the pantry to get food. They rely on my friendliness and my help. posted on April 25, 2008

Wonderful!

I have been a volunteer at the Manchester shelter for the last 6 years and it is the most wonderful experience that I have ever had. I have met a lot of different people, from many different backrounds. I think listening to the people talk is probably the most important part of the day. A lot of the people don't have anyone to turn to and just need an ear once in a while. I recommend volunteering to everyone. It's good for the heart and sole. posted on August 17, 2002
