Button Up Connecticut collects clean, gently used coats for men, women and children being served within United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut's 40-town area.
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is committed to providing a safety net of services for people in need while also helping adults and families become financially stable. Our annual coat drive, conducted in partnership with Siracusa Moving & Storage, Inc., connects area nonprofit organizations with groups and individuals interested in donating coats. Our online GiftMatch database allows requests to be filled directly by groups and individuals in the community.
Nonprofit agencies are able to register their coat needs online in GiftMatch. Please note that registration for this program is limited to nonprofit organizations serving clients within United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut's 40-town area.
Groups and individuals interested in donating coats can review and respond directly to these postings following the instructions provided. Individuals needing coats are encouraged to contact nonprofit organizations in their community, their town social service department, local churches or dial 2-1-1 for additional referrals. Individual requests for coats are not filled through Button Up Connecticut.
