When Chris, a 5 year-old boy, first met his attorney he told her, "I wish I could
just disappear. Then my parents would stop fighting." The Children's Law Center meets
a lot of kids like Chris --- kids who are torn between the two most important people
in their lives: mom and dad.
Our organization provides attorneys free of charge to indigent children who are involved
in high conflict custody and visitation cases in Family Court. The goal of our services
is to shield children from the harmful effects of parental conflict.
The Children's Law Center is seeking a volunteer to help with the creation of its
2005 annual report, which it will begin working on in January of 2006. The projected
date of completion will be April 1, 2006.
The annual report is not usually a lengthy document, but will require a volunteer
with graphic design skills. The volunteer for this project must have good graphic
design and communication skills, and be able to serve as a key leader for the project.
S/he will work with the fundraising staff-person, and also directly with printers
to gather cost estimates.
