Lawyers for Children America, a non profit organization that recruits and trains attorneys and paralegals who wish to represent abused and neglected children in juvenile court will hold a training session for new volunteers on April 8, 2005 at the offices of Tyler, Cooper & Alcorn in New Haven. At this training new volunteers will learn about the workings of DCF, the nuts and bolts of child protection law, and child development in abused and neglected children. The training is free but volunteers are expected to accept one case under the auspices of Lawyers for Children America. This opportunity is limited to attorneys and paralegals.
