Pediatric Volunteer Open House May 4

Hospital for Special Care in New Britain is recruiting volunteers for the Pediatric
Unit which has children from infancy to 17 years old with complex medical needs.
Volunteers are needed to provide therapeutic activities with the children. Activities
range from reading, playing
with adaptive toys, and cuddling babies. Volunteers will work under the direction
of a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to practice the child's specific developmental
activities. An Open House for new volunteers is scheduled for May 4.
