GEO’s mission is to engage youth in entrepreneurial garden and environmental stewardship projects where they develop skills and knowledge to obtain employment, access higher education, improve their health, and actively contribute to the community.

Description:
During the school year and summer program, youth manage our school garden, lead the garden mentoring program, learn how to cook healthy food, and
run our flower and salsa business. Our salsa business EAT from the garden provides experience in business and marketing for students as well as raises funds for scholarships and educational field-trips for the students.

History:
Established in 1999 a garden by a dozen youth to create a beautiful place for students to spend time in. Now it is a strong program with many facets and opportunities for all ages and embracing cultural diversity at GO EAT (Garden of Ethnic American Treasures).
