Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento
Provides emergency shelter care for abused and neglected children including assessment and diagnosis and comprehensive services that stabilize and heal traumatized youth.
Description:
CRH serves children ages 1 to 17 who have been removed from their home or placement to due abused and/or neglect. We serve between 1,200 and 1,800 children annually. Each child in care receives an array of services, including: food, shelter, clothing, 24-hour staffing and support, counseling, social work and case management, activities and recreation, mental health services, psychological intervention, medical and dental care, an on-grounds school, and other programs that ensure the well being of each individual child.
History:
CRH was founded on in 1944 through the joint efforts of the Junior League and Rotary Club of Sacramento. We have been in continuous service since 1944 and have served tens of thousands of children and families.
