The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis and related diseases.

Description:
The Indiana Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation serves the 1.4 million adults and 6,400 kids in Indiana with arthritis by funding arthritis-related research, health education and advocacy efforts.

History:
The Indiana Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation was founded in 1973. The national office has been in existence since 1948. There are approximately 47 million adults and 300,000 children nationwide with this disease.
