To help persons live with independence and dignity in their own home for as long as possible
Description:
Assisting seniors in Hendricks County with vital and essential services such as: Medical Transportation, Homemaker Services, Employment Referral, Advocacy,Respite Care,Nutrition,Health Clinics and more. The senior center is located at 1201 Sycamore Lane in Danville, Indiana. We offer educational and recreational activities through out the week. Classes are offered free of charge. Membership is $25 per year. Volunteers are vital to the continued services to our local seniors. They may answer phones, greet visitors, visit the home of an isolated senior, teach computer skills to seniors, assist the staff with fundraising events and much, much more.
History:
Hendricks County Senior Services, Inc. began in 1978. A few local and concerned citizens saw a great need in Hendricks County for help and assistance to the elderly.
