Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on November 9, 2009 |
Our staff has identified a new and exciting volunteer opportunity. We would like to begin planting native seedlings and plugs on Monday, August 31 through November 1. We have openings every Monday and Thursday from 9 am to 2:30 pm if we can fill these openings we might be able to accomplish our ambitious goal of planting approximately 150,000 native seedlings and plugs. There are no special tools required, no special skills. Volunteers should dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy footwear, bring a hat, bug spray, sunscreen bring gardening gloves if they have them and bring a smile. Additionally the volunteer may want to bring water and a snack. We will provide digging tools in addition to the plants. As with all of our outdoor projects these planting days are somewhat weather dependant. This opportunity is sponsored by: Duke Farms Foundation
We need volunteers who are free at these times
