Harrington Memorial Hospital

Today, Harrington has grown to be a modern, 113-bed hospital which provides quality health care to a service area of approximately 350 square miles covering 17 towns in South Central Massachusetts and Northeastern Connecticut.

Description:
Harrington Memorial Hospital is a 113- bed acute general hospital located on the Connecticut border about 62 miles from Boston, MA.

The hospital is 30 minutes from Worcester, MA and 50 minutes from Hartford, CT or Providence, RI. New York City is about three hours away. We are located one hour's drive away from skiing or the ocean. The towns served by the Hospital have a population of more than 118,000, many of which are growing rapidly. Major cultural activities require travel to Boston, or Worcester, MA or Hartford, CT. It is the best of both worlds, with the pace and quality of life associated with small-town living, yet with easy access to the social, cultural, shopping and professional sports activities available in large urban areas.

When a patient, family member, employee, or physician has an opportunity to choose a hospital, our goal is to ensure that Harrington Memorial Hospital will be their choice, because we deliver personalized, compassionate care that embodies the highest standards of clinical excellence and provides superior value to patients.

History:
We are a non-profit institution, that officially opened our doors on September 7, 1931, with a capacity of 34 beds, 6 children's cribs, and 13 bassinets.
