As the hub of an integrated health care system, we are proud to partner with our four community member hospitals: Clinton Hospital, HealthAlliance Hospital, Marlborough Hospital and Wing Memorial Hospital. Plus, we are the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Through this relationship our physicians and staff teach tomorrow's physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. They also participate in research efforts that bring our patients the very latest diagnostic and treatment protocols. The Medical Center offers a full complement of sophisticated technology and support services, providing the region with specialists renowned for their expertise in clinical areas including cardiology, orthopedics, cancer, emergency medicine, surgery, women's health and children's medical services. Volunteer Services Volunteers at UMass Memorial Medical Center are dedicated individuals who share their time, talent and enthusiasm to support staff in its efforts to provide health care services to the people of Central New England. By joining our team of more than 500 at UMass Memorial, volunteers can learn new skills and expand their circle of friends - while doing fulfilling work. Our volunteers enjoy a flexible schedule tailored to meet their needs and goals and these added benefits: On-the-job training Validated parking Complimentary meal Free health screening Who Are Our Volunteers? Teens who are at least 14 years old Adults Vocational education students College students Retirees The Teen Volunteer Program at UMass Memorial provides high school students ages 14 to 18 with a learning experience that allows them to explore health care careers and provide a valuable service to the hospital. Adult volunteers make a one-year commitment to volunteer one day a week for four hours in an assigned department. This experience allows adult volunteers the opportunity to work in a health care environment and provide a valuable service to the hospital.
