Community Volunteers & our Staff provides one to one tutoring (and small class instruction) in basic literacy and English language skills. Tutoring helps the learner become a participating member of the community, develop greater self-esteem, access job information and pursue further career advancement and become a life long learner. Volunteer Tutors work with one student 2 hours per week for a committment of 9-12 months. Tutor trainings are provided for free 4 times per year. An education degree and knowledge of a foreign language are not necessary to help an adult in your community. Join us as we build a more literate community!
