Offering peer mentoring, skills training, advocacy and information/referral, Center for Living and Working (CLW) helps enable people with disabilities, of all ages and disabilities, to gain and/or maintain their independence in living.

We are a federally-recognized Independent Living Center. Our programs include Independent Living Services, Personal Care Management Services, Specialized Telephone Equipment Program, Assistive Technology Loan Program, Housing Help and Advocacy, Community Advocacy, Skills Building, Accessibility Tech Assistance [to public buildings, program, & services, businesses, etc.]
History:
Center For Living & Working, Inc., [CLW] is a 501[c]3 Not-For-Profit agency founded in 1975 by a core group of young adults with disabilities and is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. CLW is a consumer directed, multi-programmed, multi-faceted agency, dedicated to the empowerment of all persons with disabilities to live as independently as possible. CLW provides four core services: peer support, skills training, advocacy, and information and referral. CLW serves approximately 2,000 consumers.

Yes, depending on their maturity and skills. For instance, we need help in physical assistance (moving boxes, files, or perhaps painting and such) as well as computer assistance (e.g. formatting and working on our Newsletter)
