To acquire, preserve and interpret Willard clocks and objects related to the Willard family, and to interpret daily life in late 18th and early 19th century central Massachusetts.

Description:
Willard House and Clock Museum is a small, non-profit house museum located in Grafton. The museum is open year-round and offers guided tours for individuals and scheduled groups. Willard House sponsors various activities throughout the year, including educational workshops, children's programs and "Once Upon A Time" story hour, lectures, teas, an Antique Show, Colonial Trades Fair and Colonial Muster Day. The museum includes the original 1718 Joseph Willard homestead, Benjamin Willard's 1766 clock shop and three modern galleries which display Willard clocks, family portraits and heirlooms, and period furnishings. The collection also includes 18th century pewter, Oriental rugs, 18th and 19th century firearms, Victorian toys and dolls, 19th century costumes, Nipmuc Indian artifacts, and original Thomas Jefferson documents.

History:
Founded in 1971, the museum's collection includes over 90 Willard clocks and is the largest of its kind in the world. The museum was established to preserve the birthplace and original workshop of the Willard clockmakers, America's premiere 18th century clockmaking family.
