First Night Worcester is looking for volunteers this New Year's Eve (December 31, 2009) between the hours of 3:30 PM and midnight with a minimum shift of 3 1/2 hours. If you haven't attended First Night in the past, it is a family friendly endeavor with live performances throughout many of Worcester's historic buildings such as Mechanics Hall and the Worcester Art Museum along with some of the stately churches on the north end of the city. You will be assigned to a specific venue to help with crowd control and safety, announce performances or sell buttons at the door. Volunteers receive a souvenir hat and First Night button to attend any of the events before or after your shift. If you volunteer with a friend or group, every effort will be made to place you at the same venue. If interested in volunteering, please email Cheryl Bolduc at Cheryl@FirstNightWorcester.org or call her at (508) 799-4909. Preferred time slots fill fast, so sign up early!
