When refugees come to the U.S. they are anxious to get settled and find jobs. RIAC is looking for a volunteer who can help make connections with employers - for entry level jobs or donations. This volunteer will work closely with the resettlement coordinator to ensure that new refugees get the help they need to get into the job market. He/she will organize resources/donations and maintain information related to local training and job opportunities. This volunteer position requires very good communication and computer skills. The person should be outgoing with experience working in cross cultural settings. While there will be training offered, we are looking for a person with professional skills and perhaps some related work experience. A commitment of a minimum of 6 months time to this position is needed; 10 - 15 hours per week. This opportunity is sponsored by: Refugee And Immigrant Assistance Center
