The United Way invites you to join the hundreds of volunteers participating in our 9th annual Day of Caring on Wednesday, September 11th. The United Way of Central Massachusetts is coordinating the annual service day in conjunction with other community activities marking the anniversary of September 11th. The Day of Caring will provide us with an opportunity to remember and reflect on the devastating events of a year ago, while at the same time giving us an occasion to engage the power for good that is within the our community.
Last October over 350 volunteers enthusiastically engaged in our 8th annual Day of Caring. Teams of local volunteers painted, repaired, and beautified project sites, while other volunteers read to children and planted gardens. This year area residents will be seeking ways to come together for positive expression of their feelings about September 11th. We envision our biggest Day of Caring ever, with more projects completed and more volunteers involved a wonderful opportunity to create community impact.
