You and your employees are invited to help get the Worcester Pools open this summer! Donated dollars are making a difference, and volunteers can too.
The Volunteer Center of United Way is recruiting volunteer teams and individuals to work at two City of Worcester beaches and five pools. Although the tasks will vary based on the needs of each location, in general we will be raking sand, painting walls and bathrooms, doing general clean-up of playgrounds, paths and the sites.
The beach locations are:
Bell Pond (Belmont Street)
Shore Park (Shore Drive across from Bancroft School)
The pool locations are:
Tacoma Street Playground Pool (Tacoma Street, Great Brook Valley area)
Crompton Park Pool (Canton Street, south of Kelly Square)
University Park Pool (Gates Street/Main Street across from Clark University)
South Worcester Playground Pool (Camp Street off Cambridge Street)
Beaver Brook Park Pool (Mann Street, near Foley Stadium and Park Ave.)
For each location we are seeking a maximum of 10-12 volunteers.
We will be assigning volunteers on a first come, first served basis and placing you at your preferred site.
