Mission
United Way of Central Maryland is the regional human services leader whose mission is to improve people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities.

We help people in crisis. But United Way goes much deeper than that. We take aim at the root causes of the toughest problems our communty faces.

Volunteers
It’s not just about money. It’s about time and talents. Volunteers are United Way of Central Maryland’s lifeblood.

More than 2,000 people volunteer for United Way of Central Maryland. Volunteers lend their expertise to help make important decisions about program funding, campaign fund-raising and organizational strategies. Another 1,500 or more people participate in hands-on community service opportunities.
