My Sister's Place Lodge

My Sister's Place Lodge is a program of Catholic Charities. The mission of Catholic Charities is threefold: provide healing and care to those in need; educate people to social awareness and motivate them to act; and advocate for public policy that ensures a just society.

Description:
My Sister's Place Lodge, provides transitional housing and support for homeless women with mental illness. Staff and volunteers provide a safe, comfortable, nurturing environment where the residents can regain their self-esteem, and develop the skills necessary to be successful in the community. A Life Skills program assists the residents in learning, or re-learning, the skill that they need to take charge of their lives, become positive contributing members of their communities, and work toward their fullest potential.

My Sister's Place Lodge is a referral-only, residential program for women with mental health needs. The first stage is basic health and life skills. The second stage is employment or schooling twenty hours a week while still meeting with a case manager.
