To enable at-risk adolescents to recover self-esteem, learn self-discipline & self control, and acquire the skills they need to live independently, by teaching them carpentry during the day, and high school classes at night.

Our House is a residential job training center for at-risk boys that teaches the building trades during the day, (carpentry, drywall, roofing, etc) and academic (GED) classes at night.

The school accepts boys aged 16 - 21, and offers a program with significant emphasis on personal accountability and development of self-esteem. They have individual counseling and group therapy every week, as well as life skill classes. Every Saturday morning they do community service work.

History:
Our House first opened it's doors in 1993. Since then the program has expanded to a new location on a 140 acre farm in Brookville, MD. This has increased our capacity to serve 16 students. Our House is currently embarking on a second phase of expansion with a goal to build a 24 bed "green" dormitory.
