Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on February 23, 2009 |
The South Baltimore Learning Center offers classes during the fall, spring and summer semesters for adults who are pursuing their GED or working on improving basic skills. Classroom assistants decrease the learner-instructor ratio, allowing for more individual attention to learners. Classroom volunteers provide small group instruction for learners as well as offer individual tutoring to learners needing extra help in subjects such as reading, writing, spelling and math. Classroom Assistants must possess a high school diploma. Teaching experience helpful, but not necessary. This opportunity is sponsored by: South Baltimore Learning Center
