Description:
Friendship Ventures has several recreational and leisure programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities. One of our larger programs is our residential camp during the summer and winter months. Summer Camp 2005 begins on June 5 and runs weekly until August 25. In addition, we have a travel program that operates out of the twin cities, taking adults on vacations to locations around the country. We also have a weekend respite care program, which runs almost every weekend throughout the year.

History:
Friendship Ventures began in 1964 with its summer camp location in Annandale and now serves over 3500 participants a year at two locations (Annandale and Eden Prairie, MN). Our youth volunteer program is popular nation-wide and caters to volunteers from the US as well as South America, Europe, and Asia. Many of our current staff members started as youth volunteers and have committed to other positions as counselors, coordinators, and full-time staff.
