Kids Against Hunger of Central Minnesota
Kids Against Hunger is a humanitarian relief organization designed to meet the immediate needs of people in hunger. Kids Against Hunger is a short-term hunger solution. Every 5 seconds a little boy or a little girl dies because he or she is hungry. It is our goal to empower Central Minnesotans to fight this statistic and make a difference in the lives of the hungry.
Description:
Kids Against Hunger is a volunteer-driven effort to package and distribute food in communities worldwide where crisis has struck. Kids Against Hunger harnesses volunteer groups-such as schools, churches, civic and scouting groups-to package our food and prepare it for distribution to areas of the world where there is immediate need. We partner with credible organizations to distribute our food who will work on long-term solutions.
History:
Central Minnesota Kids Against Hunger was established in March of 2003 by Michael and Pamela Beard. They have since moved but remain on the Board of Directors. KAHCM is combining food with some of our other satellite partners in order to expedite food more quickly. In 2007 Kids Against Hunger of Central MN shipped over 720,000 meals to hungry people across the globe.
