Volunteer Opportunity Details:

It seems you are going along fine, when suddenly you lose your job or have a major medical problem and find yourself without a pay check. Next thing you know, you don't have enough money to pay your rent and you are told to leave your apartment or home. What do you do. The Salvation Army offers a temporary solution at our Emergency Shelter. People come to our shelter to get themselves back on their feet. While at our shelter they will look for work if it is needed and also look for permanent housing. We are in need of volunteers at the Emergency Shelter for a variety of positions.
We need people to come in (at out Hwy 10 S. location)and assist staff in their general duties such as answering phones, taking messages and passing out keys to residents.
We need people to volunteer to do generally cleaning at the shelter. vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc.
Other opportunities will be available as they arise.

You must be over 18. You have to genuinely want to help those in need.
