| Last updated on July 7, 2009 |
Volunteers, women and men, are the foundation of Girl Scouting. Volunteers provide the support and guidance needed to help Girl Scouts develop mentally, physically, and emotionally. Studies show that girls who spent time with positive adult role models are more successful and ready for the challenges of the future. Volunteer by leading or co-leading a Girl Scout troop/group. This may or may not involve chaperoning your troop during special events, troop meetings and/or camp. Potential volunteers must complete an application, provide 3 references, driver's license and insurance. Volunteers must also complete Leader Orientation and Leader Basics training components. Various other training components are available as needed. This opportunity is sponsored by: Girl Scouts Of Minnesota And Wisconsin Lakes And Pines
