Assist Seniors, People with Disabilities and those with Difficult Life Situations in the communities of Rural Stearns County Opportunities for Teens to Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on October 7, 2009

As with every good cause, the need for volunteers is great. Volunteers make up the life-blood of many good non-profit organizations, and so it is with Rural Stearns Faith In Action (RSFIA). In RSFIA, it’s all about our volunteers. We are seeking people who want to contribute to society by helping others who are elderly or in difficult life situations.
One of the ways we grow as human beings is by going out of ourselves for the betterment of others. Since we are a faith based organization, in Scripture, 2 Cor. 9:12 we read that the services we perform not only meets the needs of God’s people, but also produces an outpouring of gratitude to God.
Since the needs in rural Stearns County are great, we are looking for willing hands and hearts to occasionally drive someone to a doctor’s appointment, take them shopping, help with housekeeping duties, minor home repair, or even yard maintenance.
We give our volunteers the option of choosing the ways they wish to serve, as well as the freedom of the times they are available to serve.
Most of us, knowing a neighbor, or a friend who has a need, would do all we could to help. RSFIA has some clients that don’t know where to turn for help, so they turn to us, and we to you. Please consider adding your name to our list of volunteers, and make yourself available for neighborly services to help someone in need. Begin to make a difference, begin your own ripple.
Contact us for a copy of our RSFIA story on DVD.

Volunteers must agree to a background check.
