Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Volunteer Office at St. Cloud Hospital is proud to announce a new volunteer position geared specifically toward nurses who are interested in volunteering. The position will begin as a trial on the Medical and Oncology units at St. Cloud Hospital. Nurses are being recruited for this trial due to their unique understanding of the needs of patients and staff on patient care units. The trial is intended to improve patient satisfaction on these units. Volunteers will assist with patient rounding on the units, provide information about hospital resources, and address patient concerns through nursing staff or Quality Resources as needed. The program is designed to help patients express their concerns, needs, questions, complaints and suggestions. Volunteers will be asked to commit to one 4-hour shift per week. Hours for this position are 10:00 am-2:00 pm Monday through Friday. Nursing experience required.
Must have ability to initiate conversation and be able to listen and respond appropriately.

We ask for a 50-hour minimum commitment and that you volunteer once a week for a four-hour shift. The days and time you volunteer are scheduled according to your availability and the needs of our health system. Most volunteer positions are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. with some evening and weekend opportunities.
