Short-Term/One-Time Special Project Boys & Girls Club Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on June 9, 2009

Do you have a special hobby or talent that you'd like to share with a child without making a long-term commitment? Do you have a craft or project idea that you'd like to present to kids at KIDSTOP or the Boys & Girls Club? ? Would you like to serve as a speaker for a small-group activity? Then it is our pleasure to invite you to share your time on a short-term basis with the kids at a KIDSTOP site or Boys & Girls Club unit. We have five core program areas in which we work with children, and your project idea is sure to fall into one of them. With character & leadership development, education & career development, the arts, health & life skills and sports, fitness & recreation, we cover the gamut in programming to young people. We rely on the support of community volunteers to further enrich the programs we provide.

We only ask that volunteers be able to relate well with children in a group environment, participate as an active team member with staff and other volunteers, and abide by volunteer policies.

All volunteers are asked to complete a criminal background check before their first volunteer experience.
