Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Gain knowledge about the professions of aging services and volunteer management; gain direct service experience by helping RSVP accomplish program goals and objectives.
Students develop a set of goals to be accomplished during the internship; Develop an understanding of RSVP's history, mission, philosophy and policies; Learn how to do volunteer enrollments, recruitments, placements and follow-ups; Learning to work cooperatively with RSVP agencies through contract updates, volunteer placements and site visits; Help with publicity efforts. Organize special Events (orientations, recognitions, trainings.)

An interest in aging and volunteerism; Ability to relate and communicate well with others; Willingness to learn and carry out specific duties and projects; Good organizational skills; Good telephone skills.
