Anna Marie's shelter for battered women and children has a small computer lab that women and older children use when Computer Lab Mentors are present. Residents use the lab for business or school purposes, such as job searches, resume and cover-letter writing, housing searches, learning about community resources, email, and homework. Residents can also learn basic Microsoft programs and how to use the internet. We need Computer Mentors to monitor the lab and help residents use the computers. Non-violent lifestyle Age 18 and older Computer literate in Microsoft Office programs and general internet use (including searches, browsing, and email) Knowledge of how to solve basic computer and printer problems Excellent interpersonal skills Diplomatic, assertive communication skills Reliable transportation Bilingual status is beneficial
