I just left an abusive situation. I don't have money to buy school supplies for my children. Where can this person go for help? The Salvation Army's "Back to School" program. We pack backpacks with necessary school supplies and give them out to those in need. This is for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Volunteers will be needed to set up for the give away, sort and count supplies, and then take down when done. The date for the set up and distribution is in late August. Exact date will be announced. Please start saving school supplies now for donation to this program. We will need volunteers for the set up and distribution in late August. No training is required. Able to count and follow a list of items that need to be put in the backpacks. Tuesday morning and Friday morning able to lift heavy boxes and tables. Need to be 16 or older.
